Newest Cirrus!--Sunrise is a Cirrus Training Center, and we now offer the newest in the Cirrus line for training and rental: an SR 22 GTS Turbo with Perspective. There are too many features to list completely:

- Turbocharged--195 knots
- Ground-breaking navigation and flight software
- Built-in oxygen
- Airconditioning
Sunrise offers the newest technology:
- Cirrus: We offer training and rental in three SR 22's.

Staff Honors

- May, 2008: The National Association of Flight Instructors honors Michael Church, Sunrise Chief Instructor, with renewal of the prestigious "Master Instructor" and "Master Aerobatic Instructor" designations. Look for a Smithsonian Air and Space article by Church in the July 2008 issue.
- August, 2007: Sunrise Senior Aerobatic Instructor Bill Hill is honored by the National Association of Flight Instructors as a "Master Aerobatic Instructor."
- November, 2004: Sunrise Chief Instructor, Michael Church, named National Safety Counselor of the Year for 2005. This marks the second time in a decade that a Sunrise Instructor has been singled out to receive one of our nation's four top General Aviation awards (see Lyn Carlson, below).
- December, 2002: Pam Hengsteler, Sunrise Assistant Chief Instructor, is presented with the "Exceptional Aviator Award" by the FAA in recognition of her career flight instructor accomplishments.
- November, 1995: Lyn Carlson, Sunrise Director of Training, is honored by the FAA as "National Flight Instructor of the Year for 1995."

Sunrise has allied with Utah Valley State College (UVSC). Through the UVSC Global Aviation Degree Program, students can receive college credits (AA and BS degrees) for pilot Certificates and Ratings earned at Sunrise.
